PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apartment house, which is harmonized with a balcony or the like and in which a facade with a feeling of high-grade having shadow is formed and a resident can live with a feeling similar to that of a detached house. SOLUTION: In the apartment house 1 in which a plurality of each dwelling unit 3a-3d as installed at every floor to the left and the right, holding a front entrance 2 in common use, balconies 5 protruded to a front are mounted on the front opening sections 4 of the dwelling units on at least upper layer floors while columnar members 6, 7 projected to the front are disposed in upright at both side sections of the balconies 5, and the front entrance 2 is arranged at a position slightly inner than left-right columnar members 6, 6.
