GAS DETECTING ELEMENT, MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME AND GAS SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon monoxide gas sensor capable of detecting CO gas of a low concentration with small influence of a disturbing gas. SOLUTION: The gas detecting element is constituted by adding Cr or a Cr compound as an additive to a gas sensitive material powder containing a copper oxide CuO as a main component. Thus, the detecting sensitivity of the CO gas of the concentration of several tens to several hundreds of ppm is improved. On the contrary, the detecting sensitivity of H2 gas is arranged to be lowered.
