PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make operability good and also enable a position to be identified easily even under a dark ambient condition. SOLUTION: A push button switch 5A comprises a position indicating section which performs the position indication by switching on a light upon opening of a contact section 100 and also switching off a light upon closing of the contact section. When a piano handle 43 is operated, a push button handle 32 is pushed down against a resilient spring 37, so that a slide cam 33 is descended and a reverse handle 31 is rotated. When the reverse handle 31 is reversely rotated, a coil spring 30 is reversed so that an opening/closing body 24 is reversed and a moving contact 29 is separated from a fixed contact 25 to change the contact section into an opening condition. In this condition, supply of power from an external power source to a load is stopped to turn off the load. However, electric current is made to flow through a neon tube L and a resistor R to turn on the neon tube L, thereby forming the position indication.
