PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead acid battery excellent to start engine with high output power. SOLUTION: A cast lattice body 1 with has a gross lateral frame sectional area/a gross vertical frame sectional area being 0.5, a lateral length LY being 100 mm, a vertical length LT being 200 mm, and the thickness of a lattice with vertical frames 6 and lateral frames 5 being 2.5 mm is used in manufacturing the lead acid battery which has a smaller DC(direct current) resistance.
