PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device permitting to largely decrease memory in storage capacity for temporarily storing display data, compared with the case that a storage capacity for storing display data for one line is necessary, and further, to provide an active matrix type display device excellent in an EMI characteristics. SOLUTION: This active matrix type display device comprises a controller (2) capable of converting 1st and 2nd port input data into 1st and 2nd port output data or 3rd and 4th port output data, 1st horizontal driver groups (101, 103) for receiving the 1st and 2nd port output data, a driving circuit (3) consisting of 2nd horizontal driver groups (102, 104) for receiving the 3rd and 4th port output data, and a display panel (4) driven by the driving circuit.
