PURPOSE: A synchronization method of a forward error correction(FEC) decoder in a mobile communication system is provided to synchronize a forward error correction decoder by efficiently searching a synchronization time point according to the FEC decoding in an MC0CDMA mobile communication system. CONSTITUTION: An FFT operation related to an FFT is performed in a physical layer for a MC-CDMA data demodulation, and at this time, generally, a starting point of the FFT is detected through an FFT frame synchronization. A receiving FEC decoder is synchronized on the basis of a starting point of the FFT frame. In the case of a symbol deinterleaver corresponding to the first module of the receiving FEC, the starting point of the synchronization detection is the same as the length of "Span*Depth" and the length of the FFT module, so that the synchronization of the symbol deinterleaver can be easily performed on the basis of the FFT starting point. Secondly, in the case of the Viterbi, a Viterbi decoder is performed on the basis of the FFT starting point. Thirdly, in the case of a synchronization of the byte deinterleaver, the synchronization can be performed on the basis of the FFT starting point. In the case of RS decoder, the point where the length of each interval in which each RS synchronization is detected maintains the frame length of the RS decoder is estimated as a synchronization of the RS decoder. |
