PURPOSE: A torque perceiving type limited slip differential makes steering performance appropriate to different conditions. CONSTITUTION: A torque perceiving type limited slip differential has a characteristic of installing multiple disc clutch between the inner surface of a differential case and one side of a side gear(52), which performs differential limiting function by thrust of the side gear(52). This disc clutch keeps TBR(Torque Bias Ratio) to the level of a helical type limited slip differential at normal times and obtains TBR which is in excess of the ratio of a multiple disc clutch type limited slip differential when getting out of a rough road. |
