PURPOSE: A cowl cross bar fixing structure maintains secure fixing condition against angular moment force of a steering wheel and a steering column. CONSTITUTION: Installation platforms(18) fixed on a body panel on four spots with bolts are fixed on the both ends of a cowl cross bar. Two central supporting brackets(12) extended downward are integrally installed to the middle of the cowl cross bar. A floor installation bracket(14) having the lower end bolted to a floor panel on one spot is fixed between the central supporting brackets(12). A body installation bracket(16) is attached to one side of the cowl cross bar. A column(22) of a steering wheel(20) is installed to the body installation bracket(16).
