摘要 PURPOSE: A circuit and method for controlling a power in a mobile communication terminal are provided to easily control power by a simple circuit and software by mounting an extended battery and a standard battery. CONSTITUTION: The first resistance(R1) is connected in parallel to an extended battery(120). One side of the second resistance(R2) is connected to the first resistance(R1) and a ground is connected to the other side thereof. An inverter receives a signal applied from a node between the first resistance(R1) and the second resistance(R2), inverts it and outputs it to the first switch(SW1). The first switch(SW1) switches a path which supplies a power supplied from the extended battery(120) to a main body(100) of a mobile communication terminal. That is, when the extended battery(120) is connected to a battery connector, the first switch(SW1) switches in a manner that the power supplied from the extended battery(120) is supplied to the main body(100) of the mobile communication terminal. The second switch(SW2) switches a path which supplies a power supplied from a standard battery(110) to the main body(100) of the mobile communication terminal. That is, when the extended battery(120) is not connected, the second switch(SW2) switches in a manner that the power supplied from the standard battery(110) is supplied to the main body(100) of the mobile communication terminal.
