PURPOSE: A loose tube type of optical cable having a waterproof property is provided to absorb moisture by filling a swellable power or a swellable yarn in a jelly layer though the moisture is infiltrated in the optical cable. CONSTITUTION: A loose tube type of optical cable has a plurality of tubes formed close in the outer plane of the inner center line of the loose tube. A swellable powder and a swellable yarn(12) are filled inside the loose tube to expand by a desired volume by absorbing the moisture in case that the moisture is infiltrated from an external. Therefore, the loose tube of optical cable has a high waterproof property by absorbing the moisture infiltrated in the optical cable using the swellable power and the swellable yarn filled in a jelly layer of the optical cable.
