PURPOSE: A brake booster reduces air inhaling sound generated between exterior air flowing in and a return spring so as to improve stillness of a car room. CONSTITUTION: A brake booster is equipped with a push rod(12), a first and a second return springs(14, 14') and a plunger(16). The push rod(12) is applied with actuation power from a brake pedal. The first and the second springs(14, 14') of a cylindrical form are installed with clearance on the outer peripherical surface of the push rod(12) to give restorative force thereto. The plunger(16) attached to the push rod(12) is moved by receiving compressive pressure therefrom when braking. This brake booster minimizes the contacting area of exterior air flowing in with the first and the second springs(14, 14') so as to reduce air inhaling sound generated therebetween.
