The arrangement has a floor-mounted arrangement of magnets (2,3) and actively controllable magnets and a solid body (4) movable above the magnets and likewise fitted with magnets (5) with opposite fields to those of the floor-mounted magnets. The field strength profile of the floor-mounted magnets can be regulated. The floor-mounted magnets are positioned in a two-dimensional arrangement and at least some have variable effective above floor field strengths and are connected to a control unit. The magnets in the solid body are also arranged in two dimensions.
