Lamp-holder designs are based on the push-though lamp holder type of which there are two variations one of which enables the fluorescent lighting tube to be pushed through from the rear face of a holder carrier through a section located there, while the other design can be inserted into a section open to the edge of the holder carrier. The present arrangement replaces these earlier types, and a U-clip shaped support device (15) is provided with at least two mutually independent tongues (26,27) one (27) carrying a locking pin (19) gripping into an additional recess of the lamp-holder carrier, while the other one (26) is designed solely for a friction-locked contact with the rear-face of the lamp-holder carrier.
