METHOD FOR PERFORMING WRITE-AHEAD LOGGING PROTOCOL USING DATA BUFFER CONTROL BLOCK IN DATA STORAGE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for performing a write-ahead logging protocol is provided to increase the efficiency of a data storage system by managing information needed to perform a write-ahead logging protocol, and by performing the write-ahead logging protocol using a main memory device without an additional spatial overhead in a database. CONSTITUTION: An initialization of a data structure is performed. A service request of a transaction is on standby(201). The service request of the transaction is received(202). A data storage system processes a service requested(203). In case that a process of the service is completed, a result is returned to a transaction(204).
