DUMMY BEARING FOR DISASSEMBLING THRUST BEARING OF TURBINE

PURPOSE: A dummy bearing is provided to support a lower assembly like an upper assembly when the assembly of a thrust bearing is disassembled and assembled. CONSTITUTION: A dummy bearing consists of a couple of upper and lower bodies(70, 70') having plural holes(71) accepting rotatable bars and a screw hole(72) for an eyebolt. The upper and lower bodies have thickness as thick as the sum of a pad and an elastic ring and have the same inner/outer diameters as the elastic ring. About four holes(71) are formed with regular distances, and bushes(82) are included in each hole to prevent damage in the insertion of the rotatable bars. The rotatable bar has a sufficient diameter to insert both ends into the bushes. The eyebolts are connected to the screw holes of the upper and lower bodies to be useful for drawing the upper and lower bodies. The bushes are kept in each hole and replaced easily. A weight of 200kg is rotated at 180 degrees and disassembled as the dummy bearing and the lower assembly changes each position completely. Therefore, the work is performed with small manpower and equipment is prevented from damage.
