The invention concerns a method for making a friction lining, in particular for a motor vehicle friction disc, which consists in mixing raw materials such as fibres, binders, fillers; in forming said mixture; in subjecting said formed mixture to a press-curing process, which method comprises an additional step which consists in thermal treatment performed at a temperature and for a duration such that a sample of said lining, subjected to a heat differential analysis, displays an endothermy up to a temperature of at least 300 DEG C to reduce the swelling of the friction lining. |
