PURPOSE: A control method for improving the response of a variable solenoid valve is provided to improve an initial hydraulic response by operating the variable solenoid valve in advance by an initial duty value when starting speed change. CONSTITUTION: A control method for improving the response of a variable solenoid valve comprises the steps of: storing control data according to the real opening/closing amount of a solenoid valve, which is necessary for initial time when a transmission changes speed; and accessing the stored data in an initial mode of speed change and then controlling the solenoid valve.
