METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HOT DIP COATED STRIP HAVING BEAUTIFUL SURFACE APPEARANCE

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a hot dip coated strip is provided which has the beautiful surface appearance by restraining the formation of an oxide film while solidifying a molten metal which is plated by passing a strip drawn up from a plating pot through a non-oxidative or reductive environment during manufacturing of the hot dip coated strip. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing a hot dip coated strip in which a plating layer is not alloyed, the method for manufacturing a hot dip coated strip having beautiful surface appearance comprises the processes of installing a sealing box in which a non-oxidative or reductive environment is composed in a proper concentration between an air wiper (6) and a deflector roll (8); and passing the strip (1) drawn up from a plating pot (3) through the sealing box (7) that is adjusted to the non-oxidative or reductive environment as a gas in the dry or wet state while solidifying molten metal plated on the strip.
