<p>A water-based coating composition characterized by comprising an aqueous medium and, dispersed therein in a neutralized form, a carboxylated acrylic-modified polyester resin (B) obtained by subjecting a carboxylated polyester resin (a) having a number-average molecular weight of 1,000 to 30,000 and an acid value of 5 to 200 mgKOH/g and a low-molecular 1,2-epoxy compound (b) having a number-average molecular weight of 1,200 or lower to esterification to obtain an epoxy-modified polyester resin (A) and reacting the resin (A) with a carboxylated acrylic resin (c).</p> |
