<p>A mass flow apparatus for measuring the mass flow rate of powdered, granulated or solid particulate materials includes a material inlet (24), a material outlet (27), a measuring chamber (25) connecting the inlet and the outlet, comprising a movable element (20) with a fixed axis of rotation located in the flow path and having attached to the axis of rotation a flow sensor (22) which provides a raw output signal corresponding to an unknown mass flow rate and a processor containing empirically derived calibration function for converting the raw output signal to an adjusted signal indicating the corrected mass flow rate of the flowing material.</p> |
