The concrete slab (1) insulated on its underside (14) is concreted onto the underlying steel girder (2) and the girder comes in T, double tee or C profile with flanges uppermost. The slab at least in part encloses the girder along the walls on the side facing the walls and slab and girder form a shallow trough open below having two closed sides and at least patly infilled with insulating material. The slab is reinforced by two steel mat layers (11) which stand at spacing and straddle the underfloor heating pipe (12). The slab is surfaced by flooring (22) and the underlying girder (2) is carried at several points on steel chocks (3) resting on ground, clean layer, strip foundations or cellar wall.
