PURPOSE: A color graphic on-screen display device is provided to reduce the size of an internal memory by allocating each pixel as 2-bit representative color information, and by displaying the pixels. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(100) outputs OSD(On Screen Display) data and an original color value relevant to a representative value of the OSD data. An OSD unit(110) converts video data into a color format to be outputted. An output device(120) displays the color format outputted from the OSD unit(110). An internal memory(111) receives and stores the OSD data of the CPU(100). A memory controller(1120) controls an internal memory. A serial communication unit(113) receives the original color value relevant to the representative value of the OSD data. A color decoder(114) outputs an original value of the serial communication unit(113) relevant to the OSD data of the internal memory(111). A multiplexer(115) multiplexes the OSD data of the color decoder(114) and the video data. An encoder(116) encodes the data outputted from the multiplxer(115). |
