PURPOSE: A protective device for valves of regenerative combustive system is provided to protect valves from high temperature emission in case of combustion trouble or and combustion pause and to protect an equipment from high heat by cooling valves with a normal temperature combustive air even in case of a normal combustion. CONSTITUTION: Burners(11,31) attached with regenerative machines(13,33) are installed in both sides of a heating furnace(1). A regenerative combustive system heats a heated material(3) in the heating furnace by the switch combustion of the burners. To protect the valves of the system from high heat, a valve protecting device consists of first switching valves(71,81) supplying normal temperature combustive air to a pipe connecting the inlet side of combustive air valves(17,37) and the discharge side of fuel valves(15,35); second switching valves(72,82) supplying normal temperature combustive air to a pipe connecting the discharge side of the regenerative machines and the inlet side of the combustive air valves; temperature sensors(73,83) opening or closing the second switching valves in the discharge side of the regenerative machines; and dampers(74,84) controlling combustive air amount supplied to the first and the second switching valves in combustive air pipes(16,36).
