<p>An ink set which is satisfactory in ink infiltration and fixability and with which high-quality images having a smooth surface can be obtained; or an ink set with which characters and/or images with excellent light resistance can be obtained. The ink set comprises a dark ink composition and a light ink composition which have the same color but differ in concentration, and is characterized in that the dark ink composition and the light ink composition each comprises a pigment as a colorant and a resin as a dispersant, and that the ratio of the proportion of the resin in the dark ink composition, B1, to the proportion of the pigment therein, P1, (B1/P1) is lower than the ratio of the proportion of the resin in the light ink composition, B2, to the proportion of the pigment therein, P2, (B2/P2) and B1 is not equal to B2.</p> |
