<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the resolution of an accumulated fluorescent sheet. SOLUTION: The accumulated fluorescent sheet 24 under exposure to a light is exposed to a radioactive isotope, while applying a perpendicular magnetic field to a sheet surface with, for example, magnets 20, 26. It is acceptable to use a superconducting coil for applying the magnetic field. An electric field can be applied, instead of the magnetic field, or both the magnetic and electric fields can also be applied. Charged particles are deflected and confined in a narrow range, preventing the spread of an exposure region.</p> |
