The rescue-warning -system has a HF transmitter with a limited range and an electronic control device identifying the travel situation of the emergency vehicle on which the rescue-warning-system is mounted, for providing different HF signals. A black box is mounted in a civil vehicle between the engine and the car radio, reception of the HF signals provided by the emergency vehicle, for temporarily de-activating the radio and providing a warning for the vehicle driver via the loudspeaker.
