PURPOSE: A structure of an IPOW(Internet Protocol Over Wavelength Division Multiplex) and a method for connecting to the network, are provided to maximize routing speed of a packet, by minimizing the number of mutual conversion processes between an electrical signal and an optical signal when the packet passes through an individual unit network. CONSTITUTION: A wavelength 2 and a wavelength 3 are allocated to a link(1-2) between nodes(1,2) and to a link(1-3) between nodes(1,3), respectively. A wavelength 1 and a wavelength 4 are allocated to a link(2-1) and a link(2-4), respectively. A wavelength 1, a wavelength 2 and a wavelength 4 are allocated to a link(3-1), a link(3-2) and a link(3-4), respectively. A wavelength 2 and a wavelength 3 are allocated to a link(4-2) and a link(4-3), respectively. A wavelength 4 is allocated to the link(2-1) or the link(1-3) connected to the node(1). A wavelength 1 is allocated to the link(4-3) or the link(4-2) connected to the node(4). |
