COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING BILATERAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN INTERNET INSTANT MESSENGER AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A communication system for supporting bilateral communication between an Internet instant messenger and a mobile communication terminal, is provided to enable a subscriber to exchange a message with the messenger via an existing mobile communication terminal, and with a messenger provider server using a bilateral short-sentence service. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal(130) transmits and receives an Internet instant message to/from the messenger. An instant message processing part(140) interworks an Internet instant messenger server(100), and thereby transfers the message received from the terminal(130) to a client(110) of the messenger. A message received from the messenger is sent to the terminal(130). A transmission part(150) locates between the processing part(140) and the terminal(130). The processing part(140) converts the short-sentence message received from the terminal(130) to an instant message. The transmission part(150) transmits and receives the short-sentence message to/from the terminal(130) via a switching center(152). A customer support center(160) sets the messenger and ID information of the subscriber, and calculates a bill for the messenger service.
