PURPOSE: An ignition diagnosis method is provided to directly monitor an explosion in a combustion chamber by receiving the state of a real explosion from a knock sensor, using an output voltage of a knock signal and detecting misfire, without using the calculation of the variation of angular acceleration. CONSTITUTION: An ignition diagnosis method is composed of a first step reading operation data(S100); a second step determining whether ignition number map data set by an engine rpm are equal to ignition number determined by a knock signal(S200); a third step determining whether a critical voltage of the knock signal set by the engine rpm and a load is lower than a voltage of a real knock signal(S300); and a fourth step outputting misfire state if the second step and the third step are not satisfied.
