HYBRID EXCHANGE SYSTEM FOR INTERFACING WITH ADSL SUBSCRIBER LINK

PURPOSE: A hybrid exchange system for interfacing with ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) subscriber link is provided to accommodate an ADSL subscriber without change in a loop of an existing subscriber terminal, and simultaneously supplies a voice service and a high-speed data service to the subscriber. CONSTITUTION: An ADSL subscriber interface unit(30) enables interface between the subscriber terminal and an ADSL subscriber link via an NT(Network Terminator), and thereby provides the voice service and high-speed data service at the same time. The unit(30) provides the voice service via a line exchange switch(40). The unit(30) provides the high-speed data service via an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) switch(50). The line exchange switch(40) performs a switching operation of the analog voice data exchanged between the interface unit(30) and a PSTN/ISDN network. The ATM switch(50) carries out a switch operation of the high-speed digital data exchanged between the interface unit(30) and an ATM network.
