Quality evaluation of received signals from N antennas of mobile radio receiver by judging filtered, buffered digital signals and using for further processing according to quality criteria

Each antenna is connected to a HF receiver part. The analogue output signals (sai) of all HF parts are filtered at baseband, sampled and then buffered as digital output signals (sdi) independently of previous signals. Each of the N buffered digital output signals, containing the same useful information, is judged using a predetermined quality criterion. At least one of the current output signals that satisfies certain quality criteria after signal processing, is immediately used as a useful signal for the further signal processing or output. An Independent claim is included for a mobile radio device.
