<p>The image of a vehicle traveling on a road is picked up by means of a plurality of monitor cameras installed along the road, and the image signal from the monitor camera is subjected to A/D conversion to produce a digital image, which is then corrected such that the road is directed in the vertical or horizontal direction on the digital image. The images thus formed are combined such that the roads on the corrected digital images are continuous. Therefore the entire road to be monitored for traffic control can be displayed on one screen and monitored without switching the display screen, and detection of abnormal traffic can be quickened.</p> |
