The device for rough correction of the position of teeth in a jawbone relative to one another and for end correction of the position of jaws relative to one another for partly or fully closed teeth comprises a cap (3) which is made of an elastic material and is provided on its inner and outer sides with contours (1, 2) respectively corresponding to the shape of the teeth (15a, 15a') of the lower and upper jaws. The restoring force of the elastic material is sufficient for producing required corrective effects. Also claimed is a method for producing such a device.
