Motorcycle wheel slip prevention device

The device uses rotation sensors (12,14) associated with respective wheels (11,13) coupled to a control unit which responds to the difference in the rate of rotation of the driving and the driven wheels to provide a control signal indicating the slip rate of the driving wheel (13). The control signal is fed to a drive control, (18) which adjusts the drive force applied to the wheel for eliminating slip. Pref. a third sensor provides a signal representing the throttle opening and a fourth sensor provides a signal representing the actual value of the carburettor throttle, both these signals also being fed to the control unit which pref. comprises a microprocessor, with the obtained control signal used to correct the carburettor throttle value to eliminate wheel slip.
