The rotary pump has an impeller located opposite a suction side wall surface of the housing, whereby a large volume side chamber is located between the pressure side impeller coverplate and pressure side housing wall. The pressure side impeller coverplate (9) has blades (10) located on it, which face towards this side chamber. The inlet diameter of the pressure side blades is greater than the inlet diameter of the suction side blades (3). The width of the pressure side blades is equal to or smaller than those of the suction side blades. |
