The device has a fluid injection valve (1), an air supply element (2), and a nozzle (4) for the mixture. The aerosol resp. aerosol jet is charged with air by second air supply elements (5,6,7). These elements surround the jet concentrically over at least a part, to give radially even air charge. The first supply element charges the fluid coming from the injection valve mainly at right angles and/or parallel to its direction of exit. The appliance is used to supply a reduction medium, esp. a urea/urea-water-solution, for a catalytic converter.
