Trouser topper, comprises a size register (6) and clamp (2, 4) for tensioning the waist. A measuring element of the size register is integrated into clamp drive mechanism (15). The register measures length of legs (3), width of waist (5) and/or making-up size. The measuring element can register the travel path of clamping means (8, 9) and the path is sent to a conduit (28) in signal form.
