PURPOSE: A circuit for restricting a phase difference voltage of a horizontal oscillation circuit in a video display device is provided to stabilize a horizontal oscillation operation by restricting the size of phase difference voltage below a determined level. CONSTITUTION: A horizontal oscillation unit(10) is composed of a phase comparator(11), a filter(12) and an oscillator(13). The phase comparator(11) compares a phase of a horizontal synchronous signal and a horizontal oscillation signal, and outputs a voltage corresponded to a phase difference. The filter(12) filters an output signal of the phase comparator(11), and removes a noise. The oscillator(13) generates a horizontal oscillation signal by the output signal of the filter(12), and provides the signal to the phase comparator(11). A phase difference voltage restriction unit(14) restricts the size of phase difference voltage outputted from the phase comparator(11). An anode terminal is connected between the phase comparator(11) and the filter(12) in parallel. A cathode terminal is composed of a clamping diode(D1) and partial pressure resistances(R1,R2).
