APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUSLY EXTRACTING BILLETS IN HEATING FURNACE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for simultaneously extracting billets in a heating furnace are provided to improve quality of wire rods by simultaneously extracting billets in a walking hearth type heating furnace without the interference of a facility, prevent accidents of the facility and improve operation productivity by automating the billet extracting operation. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for simultaneously extracting two rolls of billets (B) in a walking beam hearth type heating furnace (310), the apparatus comprises a transfer table mounted to a billet extracting port (328) of the heating furnace (310) for simultaneously transferring two rolls of billets (B) to an extracting stand (324); and a plurality of transfer extracting rollers (20) mounted on the transfer table so that the two rolls of billets (B) are transferred through the extracting port (328) at the same time. In a method for simultaneously extracting two rolls of billets (B) in a walking beam hearth type heating furnace, the method comprises the processes of transferring the billets on the extracting stand (324) by simultaneously ascending, advancing and descending two rolls of billets (B); and extracting the billets through a plurality of extracting rollers (20), thereby through the extracting port (328) at the same time.
