PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to realize the automation of a painting booth for a vehicle by automating the base process and the clear process of an inner plate. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for automating the painting booth for a vehicle comprises a painting robot(30), and a holding unit(40). The painting robot is provided with a door opening zig(50) on the lower end. A permanent magnet is attached on the one side of the door opening zig, and a bar(56) elastically supported by a spring is attached on the end of the door opening zig. The holding unit has a height adjustment cylinder, a lifting cylinder for fixing/releasing the opening state of a door, a rotating cylinder connected to the lifting cylinder, and a guide shaft(43) attached a holder(45) on the end. According to the apparatus, the automation of the painting booth is realized by mounting the door opening zig to the painting robot not requiring a separate door opening robot, and by adopting the holding unit capable to maintain the opening state of the door.
