PURPOSE: An automatic ship velocity measuring method is provided to be capable of improving a measurement efficiency by processing various information including satellite information. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(4) of a land base station and a receiver(7) of a ship(3) receive satellite information, a standard time, etc. from a global positioning system satellite(1) and then calculate a three-dimensional position coordinate value of the ship(3). A difference between a reference coordinate(5) value and the calculated coordinate value is transferred to a correction signal transmitter(6) of the land base station to the receiver(7) of the ship(3). Information corrected in the receiver(7) is transferred to a computer(10) through an interface(9) so that real-time graphic information may be displayed in the computer(10).
