PURPOSE: A method for servicing an electronic payment is provided to process payment safety and conveniently by storing user information with safety using an encryption method and transmitting all sorts of information related to the payment in an electronic paying system. CONSTITUTION: If a client requests a purchase of a commodity using a browser, related information(name, code, price and number) is transmitted to a computer graphics interface(CGI) program. The CGI program creates a specific-formed hypertext transfer markup language(HTML) document using the information and transmits the document to the client. At this time, the HTML document is designated "application/x-pay" as a MIME type. The document transmitted to a client computer operates a specific plug-in program, and the plug-in program operates an electronic wallet. Shopping information transmitted to the browser is registered in the electronic wallet. The operated electronic wallet is communicated with a shopping center and a paying center using a socket. If the client orders a commodity in a homepage, the CGI program of a web server being linked in an ordering button is operated.
