PURPOSE: A method for blocking link of a switching system is provided to provide the convenience to an operator in operating the switching system. CONSTITUTION: A command analysis block analyzes a predetermined command from an operator terminal and asks the state of a link to a call resource management block if the command is for delay blocking function. The call resource management block judges the existence of the occupied channel of the link, so that the call resource management block changes the channel state into blocking state if the occupied channel does not exist and changes the channel state into preliminary blocking state if the occupied channel exist. The call resource management judges whether the channel assigned to the link is the final channel. If the final channel, the call resource management judges the existence of the occupied channel of the link. If not exist, the link is changed into blocking state. If exist, the link is changed into preliminary blocking state. The call resource management reports the command analysis block that transition of subscriber state is completed.
