PURPOSE: A control method of an image display device having a multiple signal source is provided to prevent a conversion of a present mode into a save mode by sustaining the present mode in the case that a signal is inputted from the external device except PC. CONSTITUTION: When a horizontal synchronizing signal and a vertical synchronizing signal are not inputted from a PC, a microcomputer decides an input selection state(S12). When an image signal displayed presently is inputted from the PC according to a result of the decision, the microcomputer converts a present mode into a save mode(S13). Meanwhile, when the image signal displayed presently is not inputted from the PC according to a result of the decision, the microcomputer sustains the present mode(S14). Namely, when the image signal displayed presently is inputted from a TV or a VCR, the microcomputer sustains the present mode.
