PURPOSE: A connector for mounting a stand of a video display is provided for a video display to perform not only a portrait function but a landscape function by rotatably installing a connection device for mounting a video display on a hinge assembly of a stand and selectively mounting the connection device in accordance with a user's need. CONSTITUTION: A hinge plate(20) is fixedly mounted to a hinge assembly on the upper end of a stand supporting a video display on the bottom surface thereof and has a penetration hole(21) being formed at the central portion thereof. An adapter(300) is mounted to the front surface of the hinge plate(20) and relatively rotatably mounted to the rear surface of the video display. The elements of the adapter(300) are described as follows. A connecting plate(320) is combined to the hinge plate(20) and has a combining hole(321) at the central portion thereof. A mounting plate(310) is relatively rotatably mounted to the connecting plate(320) and fixedly attached to the rear surface of the video display(10) and has a combining hole(311) at the central portion thereof. A rotating unit makes the mounting plate(310) be rotated relatively with respect to the connecting plate(320). The connecting plate(320) is combined to the mounting plate(310) by a bolt(340) and a nut(390) penetrating the combining holes(321, 311) and makes the mounting plate(310) be rotated relatively with respect to the connecting plate(320) based on the bolt(340). When the bolt(340) makes the connecting plate(320) be combined the mounting plate(310), a tension washer(350) and a plane washer(360) are inserted between a head(341) of the bolt(340) and the connecting plate(320).
