AQUEOUS RESIN SOLUTION FOR CHROMIUM-FREE STEEL SHEET

PURPOSE: Aqueous resin solution useful for treating chromium- free steel sheet is provided for improving surface-appearance and corrosion-resistance by neutralizing polyethylene as base resin with amine to prepare the resin solution. CONSTITUTION: The aqueous resin solution comprises polyethylene having a molecular weight of 50,000-80,000 as a base resin and added with 10-25% amine to neutralize the base resin. The resin solution further includes silane component for enhancing the contact ability with the resin component, wax for increasing lubrication capability and scratch-resistance of the film to prevent darkening (or blackening) of the film and wetting agent for improving surface-appearance of the film. The resin solution is useable in the production of steel sheet free of hexachromium(Cr+6) harmful to human body.
