PURPOSE: A spindle servo device is provided to control RPM(Revolutions Per Minute) of an optical disk having wobbled tracks. CONSTITUTION: A wobble signal detect instrument detects wobble signals from an optical disk. An edge detect instrument detects edge portions from the wobble signals. A first compare instrument compares intervals of the edge portions with a first reference value for detecting a first RPM error amount. A phase synchronization instrument generates a phase synchronization pulse for responding to the edge portions. A second compare instrument compares period of the phase synchronization pulse with a second reference value for detecting a second RPM error amount. A switch instrument selectively outputs the error amounts according to the first RPM error amount. A motor driving instrument controls RPM of the disk according to one of the error amounts.
