PURPOSE: A separable application apparatus of an ADSL modem is provided to replace only ADSL function block by a compatible product while using a common block as it is, thereby improving utilization and economical efficiency of a product. CONSTITUTION: An ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscribe Line) function part(10) converts data received through a telephone line into ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) form data for processing an ADSL frame. A processor interface part(20) is constructed within one chip set with the ADSL function part(10) for controlling Ethernet interface with an ATM-25. An ATM-25 function part(30) is constructed in another chip set for performing ATM-25 interface. An ATM-25 control part(40) is constructed within one chip set with the ATM-25 function part(30) for controlling ATM-25 interface.
