<p>The invention relates to a method for planting a crop, in particular leek, comprising of forming shafts (40) in the ground (43) and placing crop plants (39) in these shafts, wherein the plants are placed in the shafts substantially simultaneously with the forming of the shafts. Shafts can herein be formed by first forming a channel (45), and then reclosing this channel, wherein the shafts are kept open. The invention further relates to an apparatus for performing this method, provided with means (12) for forming shafts (40) in the ground (43) and means co-acting therewith for placing the crop plants (39) in the shafts (40). The shaft forming means can herein comprise a number of tubular elements (14) which are to be inserted into the ground and removed therefrom and which correspond to the shafts (40). These tubular elements can be connected movably to a frame (2) displaceable over the ground, wherein the tubular elements (14) are movable relative to the frame in opposite direction to the displacement of the frame and at the displacement speed. <IMAGE></p> |
