PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent fuel cell which directly supplies DMFC and other organic fuels to an anode, by having a relatively simple configuration and by restricting a crossover in which an organic fuel is permeated through to the cathode for reaction. SOLUTION: CO2 isolated from a tank 41 mixed with the methanol supplied from a fuel tank 21 is supplied to a channel 14a on the anode. A channel 15a on a cathode is supplied with dampened air. Thereby, the partial pressure of water vapor in the channel 14a on the anode becomes lower than the one in the cathode, thus in the electrolytic membrane 11, a moisture concentration gradient is formed such that the concentration on the anode is higher than the concentration on the cathode, and crossover is restricted. |
